Outreach
LOCAL CHURCHES
The Colina De Luz ministry has befriended approximately 25
Tijuana churches of varying denominations. Most are very poor,
yet very precious to the heart of God. Colina has been able
to come alongside these churches by:
• Supplying Bibles, tracts for evangelism, study aides,
and school supplies for the congregation's children,
providing construction materials and furniture, as well as good, dependable cars and vans.
• Hosting an annual Christmas program, "Celebración
de Navidad", providing a day of fellowship to these local
churches. It also provides an opportunity to give thousands
of Christmas gifts, hundreds of warm blankets, and plenty of
food. This year 2,500 attended.
• Offering seminars are offered by noted pastors and teachers.
• Holding Pastor's Breakfasts for fellowship and planning.
• Connecting American or other national mission groups who wish to come along side a church body to minister
VOLUNTEER WORK PROGRAM
Every year, Colina de Luz helps hundreds
of people in the local Mexican community who come and participate
in the Volunteer Work Program. After morning devotions, these
volunteers help out, are invited for lunch and then go home
with a bag of food and selected clothing for their family.
VARIOUS OUTREACHES
Our older kids have "adopted"
the seniors at a local Home. They have fun caring for their
newfound "Grandparents". They take small gifts of
personal needs products, or a pretty plant, sing a few songs
and try to minister to the seniors' hearts, to bless the seniors and
themselves in return.
MEDICAL CLINIC
Generous donors have responded by sponsoring
a free medical clinic on site, providing quality care to as
many in need as is possible for the Doctor to see each Saturday.
Colina currently has a free Dental Clinic for residents and it
is equipped with just about everything a clinic would need accept
regular attending Dentist! We need more Dentists to volunteer
to be able to open it up to the community! Keep this need on
your prayer list.
