Colina
Education
This year Colina has one boy and two girls in University,
seven students in Prepatory (High School), eighteen Students
in Secondary, fourteen in I.N.E.A., which is a program to help
students catch up with the level that they should be in. Our
kids are definitely growing up! Foundation is important, so all
(six) of our 4- and 5-year-old kids attend kindergarten. They
absolutely love it. We saw one of our little guys go from being
considered “limited” to excelling and learning to
read. The group of kids in primary school gets smaller and smaller
(down to sixteen from twenty-five) as the Colina kids grow up. There has also been a positive change in the kids' study
habits; we are seeing better grades all the time. We now have
a daily, mandatory homework hour with adult staff leading the
different groups.
We have also been rewarding those students who put special effort
in their studies.Overall, we are encouraged with the work that God is establishing in the educational lives of the kid’s here at Colina De Luz.
